Devon diaries - day 3 | Vintage funfair

On our last full day in Devon, we went to a vintage funfair called Dingles Funfair Heritage Centre in Lifton. The funfair is indoors, which makes it perfect because although it didn't rain, it did look like it was going to. There's a few rides and dodgems. I've visited Dingles Funfair years ago and only went on a couple of things, but this time I went on everything.

As you walk in, theres a bunch of machines and fun things, all of which were only 2p a go. I found the vintage arcade a lot more fun than the ones closer to me in Southsea, partly because they're different.

They have around four rides and dodgems. The funfair was literally empty. Besides my family and I, there were only an elderly couple and the people who worked there in there. There's a new ride there now, well it's not 'new' because it's from the 1930's, but it's new to Dingles. It's called the Moonrocket and I went on it a couple of times. The Moonrocket was the first thing I went on and it was a lot of fun.

After the Moonrocket, my youngest brother and I went on the dodgems and they're a lot of fun. I went on a gold sparkly one, which was cute. These dodgems are on an older ITV advert and they're the first time I've ever been on dodgems.

After the dodgems, we went on a carousel. I didn't actually get any photos of these! We then went on a ghost train, which I didn't enjoy all that much. I have never in my life been on a ghost train and never really wanted to, but I braved it. It was pretty funny, but I'm not good when it comes to jumpy things.

There were miniature models of the rides.

The next ride was a similar ride to the carousel, but faster and instead of horses, they were motorbikes. I'm not sure what the name was, but it was fun, however I kept thinking I was going to fall off because it goes fast and you kind of tip to the side.

After the funfair, we went to get lunch and sit by a massive lake that wasn't too far away. We headed back to the cottage and went on a little walk. I took quite a few photos.
